As a woman we all want to succeed in the workplace. We all want to move into a leadership position. Some women will move up and others it might take some time. For those of you that do move into a leadership position Remember one thing… Remember that leadership is all about the influence. It’s about inspiring others and making an impact. It is not about just self-gain or being selfish. It’s about just that, influencing others. You have been placed into a position to influence others hence… Leadership position.
Unstoppable Warrior Woman are leaders. These women are influencing others. They have made women realize they can do anything they set their mind to. They are leading by example by helping build/create other leaders. They are leaders in the church, their homes and communities. These women have crossed over the wall and are helping others. These ladies can work as individual contributors, motivate teams to work towards a common goal and celebrate team victories. These ladies are Unstoppable Warrior Women. Are you a leader? As you ponder this thought. A couple of things
1. Leadership influences nothing more and nothing less.
2. Leadership is not a title but a role one plays in others’ lives by influencing them. You do not have to be the manager to get the team to produce. Be the person on the team that people trust and that can seek help when needed, this will influence them.
3. Leadership does not happen overnight. It takes time to build leadership. You must form the right relationships with the right people. You must value people and be willing to help and go that extra mile as well as listen.
4. Leadership is already in you. You must be confident enough to step out and strengthen your leadership muscles. Do not be afraid to try. The person at the football games that starts doing the wave in the stands is not afraid and look at all the people that follow and participate.
My challenge to you today is reflect and ask yourself, who are you influencing and are you in a Leadership Position.
